Margot Damaser wins School of Medicine’s 2012 Gender Equity Award

Margot Damaser, associate professor in the Department of Molecular Medicine at Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine at Case Western Reserve University, recently was honored with the American Medical Women’s Association Clinical Gender Equity Award for 2012.

Damaser, a nationally and internationally recognized specialist in urodynamic and neurourology research, is a principal investigator and rehabilitation research career scientist in the Advanced Platform Technology Center at the Louis Stokes Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center.

This award is supported by the Women Faculty of the Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine but decided upon by the senior year medical student body to honor a faculty member who the students feel exemplifies the principle of gender equality in their teaching and who promotes a gender-fair environment for education and training of physicians.
