Mano Singham examines the human tendency to trust science

Mano Singham, adjunct associate professor of physics and director emeritus of the University Center for Innovation in Teaching and Education, was published on for his essay, “The paradoxical reason for science’s success.”

In his article, Singham discussed the significance of scientific theories and knowledge, and why they have the power to influence what many people think and believe about the world. Singham’s essay provides an overview of the content of his book The Great Paradox of Science: Why Its Conclusions Can Be Relied Upon Even Though They Cannot Be Proven, published in November 2019.
