Mandel School’s Terry Hokenstad the role of social workers in the fight against human trafficking

Human trafficking the focus of multi-disciplinary seminar at CWRU
The Plain Dealer: M.C. “Terry” Hokenstad, Distinguished University Professor at the Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences, discussed the role of social workers in stopping human trafficking. Social workers’ roles overlap with those of health care professionals in several ways, he said. These include identifying victims and assisting them in getting help as well as educating a vulnerable population.
