Mandel School’s Duncan Mayer writes about child maltreatment

Duncan Mayer, a PhD student at the Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences, recently penned two articles about child maltreatment using Cuyahoga County data.

The first article, published in Social Currents, explored the role nonprofit organizations have in the spatial distribution of child maltreatment within Cuyahoga County. The second article, which appeared in the Journal of Community Psychology, augments the argument made in the first with social capital.

Additionally, late last year, Mayer and Rob Fischer, an associate professor at the Mandel School, co-wrote an article on nonprofit data use. Their article was published in Evaluation and Program Planning.
