Mandel School’s Dexter Voisin discusses rise in youth violence in Toronto on The Alex Pierson Show

Earlier this month, Dexter Voisin, dean of the Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences, appeared on The Alex Pierson Show on AM640 Toronto CFIQ to discuss the city’s disturbing rise in youth violence.

During the show, Voisin and Pierson dove into statistics showing how youth firearm arrests have skyrocketed by 161% within a two-year span. Voisin also talked about programs used by the City of Chicago to deal with a similar situation and its cause, arguing why there is no one-size-fits-all solution.
