Mandel School’s Daniel J. Flannery named 2024 Fellow of the American Academy of Social Work and Social Welfare

Daniel J. Flannery, the Dr. Semi J. and Ruth Begun Professor and director of the Begun Center for Violence Prevention Research and Education, was elected a 2024 Fellow of the American Academy of Social Work and Social Welfare (AASWSW), a distinguished honorific society of prominent scholars, top researchers and practitioners. He is one of eight inductees.

Flannery was formally inducted as an AASWSW Fellow earlier this month during the Society for Social Work and Research Annual Conference in Washington, D.C. He is the eighth Mandel School AASWSW Fellow, joining colleagues David Biegel, Claudia Coulton, Grover “Cleve” Gilmore, Victor Groza, Mark Singer, Elizabeth Tracy and Dexter Voisin.
