Mandel School professor Megan Holmes discusses research related to youth mental health support

Adding mental health support at Cleveland’s rec centers helps youth heal from trauma, researchers say

ideastreamMegan Holmes, associate professor and founding director of the Center on Trauma and Adversity at the Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences, discussed the research she’s leading to help transform the City of Cleveland’s 22 recreation centers into places that provide mental health support to youth dealing with trauma. “To have a space where children and adults feel safe to go to, where they feel like they’re supported and valued is such an important part of the healing process,” she said.
