Tian Xia, a PhD student in social welfare at the Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences, and recent alumna Katie Russell gave a poster presentation at The Violence Prevention Research Conference.
The Violence Prevention Research Conference was co-sponsored by the University of New Hampshire and the University of Kentucky, and took place in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, from July 14–16.
Their poster was titled “Compensation for Mental Distress and Rehabilitation Needs for Child Sexual Abuse Victims in China: A Descriptive Analysis of Judicial Verdicts and Compensation Outcomes.”
