Erlynne P. Davis, associate professor emerita of social work, died April 24 in Chicago. She was 86.
From 1964 to 1987, she held the rank of associate professor at the Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences, where she taught courses in direct practice and socio-behavioral theory. In addition to graduate program teaching, she was a consultant to human service agencies and church organizations. She also taught staff development programs.
Davis was a 1960 graduate of the School of Applied Social Sciences here at Case Western Reserve. She is survived by a son, Charles E. Davis, daughter-in-law, Risa, and two grandchildren.
Services will be held Wednesday, May 2, at St. James A.M.E. Church (8401 Cedar Ave., Cleveland). A wake will be held at 10:30 a.m., followed by the funeral at 11 a.m.
