This year’s homecoming features four anniversary celebrations.
The School of Dental Medicine and the School of Law are both celebrating 125 years since their founding.
The School of Dental Medicine will assemble past deans to discuss their legacy of leadership and the school’s significant past and important future during a special Saturday lunch. This event will be held Oct. 7 from noon to 3 p.m. at Allen Memorial Medical Library’s Ford Auditorium.
The School of Dental Medicine 125th Anniversary Celebration Gala and Awards Reception will be a night of dining, dancing and music from DJ Robert Johnson. The recipients of the 2017 School of Dental Medicine Alumni Association Awards will be honored during a portion of the evening. This event will be held Saturday, Oct. 7, at 5 p.m. at the House of Blues (308 Euclid Ave.).
The community also is welcome to spend Saturday afternoon celebrating the School of Law’s 125th anniversary with a discussion facilitated by Jonathan L. Entin, the David L. Brennan Professor Emeritus of Law, and Leon Gabinet, the Coleman P. Burke Professor Emeritus of Law, promising enjoyable stories about the history of the law school, as well as information regarding developments in the law. This event will be held Saturday, Oct. 7, at 12:30 p.m. in the School of Law’s Moot Court Room.
Both events are offered with continuing education credit for those who qualify.
The LGBT community is marking 30 years of LGBT activism on campus.
Studio-A-Rama, WRUW-FM 91.1 Cleveland’s signature concert event, will celebrate the station’s 50th birthday, local music and college radio with a line-up featuring a national headliner, special guests and local Cleveland bands.
