Lunar New Year celebration

All members of the campus community and the public are invited to experience Lunar New Year on Jan. 24 at a free cultural event, which will feature popular Asian snacks, hot chocolate, green tea, a dance performance and a fireworks display.

Student organizations will be providing games and traditional Lunar New Year activities for the crowd. Festivities begin at 7 p.m. at Tinkham Veale University Center and the fireworks will begin outside at 8 p.m. The first 350 students to arrive with their Case IDs will receive a gift.

CWRU’s Lunar New Year event is presented in partnership by the Center for International Affairs, Office of Multicultural Affairs, First Year Experience and Family Programs and the Office of the Provost.

Expect security and limited access to parts of Wade Oval and surrounding areas during the Lunar New Year event because of the fireworks display.
