When 21st-ranked Case Western Reserve University takes the field Saturday, Nov. 12, against Carnegie Mellon University, the team will have a chance to do something no other Spartan football squad has ever accomplished—win a Presidents’ Athletic Conference Championship.
Although Case Western Reserve is in just its third season as a football affiliate member of the PAC, prior to the federation of the University in 1967, and the subsequent joining of the Case Institute of Technology and Western Reserve University football program’s in 1970, there was a time when the Red Cats of Western Reserve ruled the PAC.
