Little Victories: A True Story of the Healing Power of Horses

On March 31 from 1 to 1:55 p.m. the story of Little Victories: A True Story of the Healing Power of Horses will be shared in Room 15 of Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel Community Studies Center.

Little Victories: A True Story of the Healing Power of Horses is an inspirational story of how horses led a young Ohio woman back to her dream after a paralyzing snow-covered roof collapse 25 years ago, and the value of therapeutic riding programs for children and adults with physical and mental disabilities.  Through her tale, the book tells the story of how Fieldstone Farm Therapeutic Riding Center grew from a classroom idea to one of the nation’s top centers. Readers, early teens through adulthood, will see how Debbie learned to live with her disability, and they will get an inside view of the unique world of therapeutic horseback riding.
