“Life after tenure: Maintaining Momentum from Associate to Full”

The Flora Stone Mather Center for Women will host a workshop for faculty and staff about tenure Tuesday, April 7, from noon to 1:30 p.m. in Tinkham Veale University Center, Suite 248.

Full professors will give advice at this event, titled “Life after tenure: Maintaining Momentum from Associate to Full.”

Alexis Abramson, professor of mechanical and aerospace engineering; Susan Kirsh, professor of medicine; and Marie Lathers, Elizabeth M. and William C. Treuhaft Professor of Humanities, will co-facilitate an informal discussion.

Attendees will learn about:

  • Increasing their visibility and responsibility;
  • Publishing a second monograph;
  • Getting grants in the humanities;
  • Making SAGES work for their scholarship; and
  • Learning from mistakes to achieve greater success.
