LGBTQ Research Group to hold first meeting of the year Nov. 17

The LGBTQ Research Group will hold its first meeting of the academic year Tuesday, Nov. 17, from noon to 1:30 p.m. in Thwing Center’s Cleveland Room.

Anyone interested in, or already conducting research in, LGBTQ studies or diversity content areas related to LGBTQ studies is welcome to participate in the research group.

The Office of Faculty Development, in cooperation with the LGBT Center and the CWRU Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Allies (LGBTA) Committee, launched an LGBTQ research group in spring of 2015. This interdisciplinary group of faculty, staff and administrators focuses on scholarly endeavors and research projects and/or initiatives related to LGBTQ studies.

The LGBTQ Research Group meets on the third Tuesday of each month from noon to 1:30 p.m. in Thwing Center’s Cleveland Room.

Those with questions can contact Amanda Shaffer, director of the Office of Faculty Development, at 216.368.8874 or amanda.shaffer@case.edu, or Matthew Garrett, co-chair of the CWRU LGBTA Committee, at 216.368.2496 or chorus@case.edu.
