Learn what’s new with Mediavision in upcoming UCITE seminar

In the coming fall semester, faculty members will be provided with the means to greatly enhance their ability to capture and share the audio and video of their classes via the Mediavision lecture capture system. The upgraded system will have many new features that will benefit both students and faculty.

Key features for students include seamless access through Blackboard Learn to view videos, bookmark places in the video and create discussion threads at sections of the video.

The new system allows faculty members to view metrics on each class video such as hot spots, scene views and more in order to get better feedback on what topics students seem to find difficult or need to spend more time on.

At the upcoming UCITE session, held July 26 from noon to 1 p.m., Tina Oestreich, Mike Kenney, Sue Schick and Jennifer Loudiana from Information Technology Services will discuss and demonstrate the new features of the Mediavision system. In addition, they will demonstrate a new feature called Personal Capture that will allow faculty to record a video anywhere, anytime and distribute it via Mediavision to students.

The discussion will be held in the Herrick Room, located on the ground floor of the Allen Memorial Medical Library. Pizza lunch and sodas will be provided at this session; RSVP to ucite@case.edu.
