The next UCITE seminar, to be held Feb. 9, will cover “What works in the classroom.”
Teaching involves a lot of things that are done by the instructor outside of the classroom. Determining course goals, selecting the scope and sequencing of the material, determining what resources to make available, preparing and grading assessments, and so on. But an important element of teaching is what goes on inside the classroom.
What works in the classroom? What can we learn from successful teachers about what makes for effective practice? At the next UCITE session, participants will look at what studies have revealed about successful classroom practices.
The discussion will be held Feb. 9 from noon to 1 p.m. in the Herrick Room on the ground floor of the Allen Memorial Medical Building.
Pizza lunch and sodas will be provided at this session; email ucite@case.edu to RSVP.
