Learn more about decision-making in child protective services at April 14 lecture

Merav JedwabThe Schubert Center for Child Studies and the Center on Urban Poverty and Community Development will host Merav Jedwab, postdoctoral fellow at University of Maryland School of Social Work and of the Heruv Institute in Jerusalem, who will present “Decision-Making in Child Protective Services: Perspectives from Israel and the U.S. Longscan Project.” The lecture is Tuesday, April 14, from 12:45 to 2 p.m. at the Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel Center for Community Studies, Room 108.

Jedwab will discuss unique aspects of Child Protection Services in Israel. She also will present research on the substantiation of child maltreatment and the critical role of professionals in the assessment of suspected child abuse and neglect using data from the federally-funded Longscan Project in the U.S.
