Learn how to make philanthropy a lifelong commitment at final Conversations in Philanthropy session

conversations in philanthropy flyerThe Conversations in Philanthropy Spring Speaker Series at the Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences will conclude with discussion, titled “Philanthropy is a Big Tent: Making philanthropy part of your lifelong commitment,” on Tuesday, April 28, from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. in the Mandel Community Studies Center, Room 115.

The event will feature Leah Gary (NUR ’85), president and CEO of the William J. and Dorothy K. O’Neill Foundation, and Jazmin Long (SAS ’15), welcoming coordinator at Global Cleveland.

Many people may think that philanthropy has nothing to do with them or that it is only for the wealthy. The reality is that philanthropy intersects with virtually all dimensions of modern society and is relevant to everyone.

This session will explore philanthropy’s relevance to a broad range of interests and initiatives. Beyond that, it will suggest that anyone can integrate a philanthropic spirit into their life as part of their commitment to the civic good.

One Continuing Education Unit (CEU) per event available for social workers. The cost is $10 for Case Western Reserve alumni and $25 for non-alumni. Make a CEU request in your RSVP. The entire lecture must be attended to receive a CEU.

A reception will follow the event from 5:30 to 6 p.m.
