Learn how to make home rain barrel, rain garden at April 10 workshop

Learn how to make a home rain barrel and rain garden on Thursday, April 10, from 3 to 5 p.m. in Adelbert Gym.

The informational session will be taught by representatives from the Cuyahoga County Soil and Water Conservation District and the Doan Brook Partnership.

The event’s schedule is as follows:

  • 2:45-3 p.m.:  Check-in at Adelbert Gym
  • 3-3:45 p.m.: Intro Workshop Content for Rain Garden and Rain Barrel Tracks at Adelbert Gym
  • 3:45-5 p.m.: Rain Garden and Rain Barrel tracks split-off; “Rain Garden” attendees will head across campus to the Juniper Road site, and “Build Your Own Rain Barrel “attendees stay on site in Adelbert Gym

Rain barrels kits must be purchased for $60 by Friday, April 4. This purchase is not necessary for attending and observing how to construct a rain barrel. Please note: If you commit to purchasing a rain barrel but for cannot make the actual workshop, you still will be obligated to pay the $60 kit fee and pick up your rain barrel kits.
