Learn about virtual assessment strategies with Teaching and Learning Technologies’ training sessions

It’s still October, but Case Western Reserve University’s last in-person classes are only three short weeks away. University Technology’s ([U]Tech) Teaching and Learning Technologies (TLT) team is here to support faculty and staff as they consider their assessment strategies for final exams. There are live training sessions, recordings, guides and office hours available until the end of the semester.

Upcoming assessment trainings include:

  • Part 1: Getting Started with Remote Testing: This is a comprehensive tour of the Canvas Quiz feature and all of the settings and question types. Ways to randomize questions on your exams, add in moderated time, and many other useful tips will be covered.
  • Part 2: Secure Testing Tools: This training will briefly review Canvas Quiz settings that can help increase the security of an exam. Additionally, training facilitators will do an overview of the two secure testing tools [U]Tech supports.

For information on all of upcoming training and office hours, check out the TLT Training Calendar.

Check out the Teach Everywhere website for resources and recordings. Additional questions can be sent to canvashelp@case.edu and securetesting@case.edu for guidance from the TLT team.
