Learn how aging impacts vision at April 20 summit

The Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences will host “Aging Eye Summit: Connecting the Dots” Wednesday, April 20, from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. in The Iris S. & Bert L. Wolstein Research Building Auditorium.

Attendees will learn from experts about:

  • The present status, treatment, and research regarding age-related eye diseases;
  • Low vision and cognition;
  • Public health perspectives and resources; and
  • Low vision assistance.

Grover Gilmore, dean of the Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel School Applied Social Sciences, and Alan Lerner, professor of neurology and Neurological Institute Chair for Memory and Cognition, will deliver keynote addresses on the connection between Alzheimer’s and vision.
