Learn about the fundamentals of computer and data sciences with a summer course

The Department of Computer and Data Science in the School of Engineering is debuting a new course this summer called ‘The Digital Revolution: Computer and Data Science for All.’ The course is being developed by the Herbold Professor of Teaching Innovation, Harold Connamacher, and aims to expose non-engineers to the fundamentals of computer and data science and its impact on our daily lives.

Advancements in computer and data science pervade so much of society, and we are all familiar with the explosion in application areas, but non-engineers don’t really know much about how this stuff actually works. This course will give students some basic understanding of how these advances are really built, the ethical implications, possibilities for the future and more.
