Learn about technology use in diagnosing and treating cancer

The Case Comprehensive Cancer Center, in partnership with the Department of Biomedical Engineering, will be hosting the Adamczyk Lecture on Friday April 19th from Noon to 1 p.m. in the Iris S. and Bert L. Wolstein Research Building Auditorium. Lunch is provided; no registration is necessary.

The Adamczyk Lecture Series showcases the use of cutting-edge technology in the development of noninvasive diagnostics and novel therapies, especially in the context of cancer treatments.

This week’s lecture will feature Dr. Despina Kontos, PhD. Dr. Kontos is a Professor of Radiology and the Vice-Chair of AI and Data Research at Columbia University Irving Medical Center. She is also the Founding Director of the Center for Innovation in Imaging Biomarkers and Integrated Diagnostics. Dr. Kontos will present, “Radiomics and Radiogenomics and AI: The Emerging Role of Imaging Biomarkers in Precision Cancer Care.”
