Learn about implicit biases associated with disability at Feb. 24 workshop

The Organizational Development & Learning Unit of the Department of Human Resources will continue its brown bag series on implicit bias Tuesday, Feb. 24, from noon to 1:30 p.m. in Crawford Hall, Room 209.

Ann Williams, research assistant professor in the Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing, and Grace Clifford, assistant director of Disability Resources at Educational Services for Students, will facilitate this session, which will focus on disabilities.

The series on implicit bias comprises 15 individual sessions, based on the Implicit Association Test. Participants will be invited to take the assessment on each of topic prior to the related subject matter presentation. Individuals are not required to take every workshop.

The sessions will be held on the second, third and fourth Tuesday of the month, beginning in January and concluding in May.

Participants can bring lunches during these workshops. Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis.
