Learn about culture, enlightenment and 17th century British books in Feb. 23 lecture

Meet the witty and engaging Michael Suarez from University of Virginia this week as he comes to Kelvin Smith Library to talk about culture, commerce, advertising, history, art and more—and how they all played a role in the 1600s. A noted author and editor, he’ll present “Patrons and Illustrations: 17th Century British Books and the Coming of Enlightenment” at 4 p.m. Feb. 23 in the library’s second floor Dampeer Room.

The event is open to the entire campus community.
