Law’s Sharona Hoffman leads symposium, publishes paper on ”Big Bad Data”

Sharona HoffmanSharona Hoffman, the Edgar A. Hahn Professor of Law, organized, moderated and spoke at a Case Western Reserve Law School symposium titled “Balancing Privacy, Autonomy, and Scientific Progress: Patients’ Rights and the Use of Electronic Medical Records for Non-Treatment Purposes.” The full-day program included prominent speakers from across the country and took place April 5.  It was the subject of an article published April 9 in MedCity News.

In addition, her paper, “Big Bad Data: Law, Public Health, and Biomedical Databases,” published in the Journal of Law.
