Law’s Sharona Hoffman discusses mandates on wearing masks

‘Legal, constitutional and very, very sensible’—law professor says mask mandates don’t infringe on rights

Hahn Professor of Law, said that during the coronavirus pandemic, regulations requiring masks are appropriate. “This type of regulation is legal, constitutional and very, very sensible,” Hoffman said, noting that one of the chief responsibilities of elected officials is to ensure the health and safety of those they serve. “It’s very sad that this has become a political issue.”
