Associated Press: Sharona Hoffman, the Edgar A. Hahn Professor of Law and co-director of the Law-Medicine Center, discussed how companies can offer abortion benefits to employees without breaching their privacy. Hoffman called travel cost pledges a “generous benefit” from companies, and said she would not be surprised “if this becomes a practice that more companies undertake — just without trumpeting it,” for fear of the backlash that can come with public statements on a divisive issue such as abortion.
