NPR: Sharona Hoffman, the Edgar A. Hahn Professor of Law and co-director of the Law-Medicine Center, said some companies are directly reimbursing women who need to leave their state of residence/employment to obtain an abortion. “If it’s a low-paying job, presumably employers might have to give the money first because the patient couldn’t pay for it on her own and then seek reimbursement and then wait six weeks for the reimbursement to come through,” she said.
