Peter Gerhart, professor of law and former dean of the School of Law, was selected as the interim president of Lake Erie College. He began his yearlong term Aug. 1, but still will teach a seminar this fall. He will return to Case Western Reserve next June.
Gerhart served as law school dean from 1986 to 1996, and is noted for his work in antitrust and trade regulation law prior to coming to Case Western Reserve University. Gerhart now specializes in torts, property and legal theory.
As an instructor, Gerhart has taught students in SAGES courses and also has led classes in Global Economic Issues and in the Doctor of Management program.
Gerhart will follow the service of Lake Erie College’s Michael Victor, who led the college for nine years.
