Trump wants a sovereign wealth fund for the U.S. What are they?
Bloomberg: Paul Rose, dean of the School of Law, noted that President Donald Trump’s proposed U.S. sovereign wealth fund raises questions about its purpose and risks. Rose suggested Trump favors a strategic investment fund, but warned that poor oversight could undermine its legitimacy. “Financially, the risk is poor investment decisions,” Rose said. “Politically, the risks are that the fund would lose legitimacy.”
