Case Western Reserve University hosts environmental law clinic in East Palestine ideastream: Miranda Leppla, director of the Environmental Law Clinic at the School of Law, discussed the law school’s participation in a clinic that offered free legal advice in East Palestine in the aftermath of the disaster in February when 38 cars of a Norfolk Southern freight train carrying hazardous materials went off the rails—and were subsequently burned. “Because we don’t have any financial stake in this … we’re coming to provide assistance without any expectation of any kind of monetary benefit from this,” Leppla said. “We’re just really trying to provide as much information as we can.” |
