Prosecutors appeal ‘errors’ in Brelo verdict; acquittal will stand

Hutchins Professor in the School of Law, discussed a motion made by the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Office to correct legal errors in the voluntary manslaughter trial of Michael Brelo to prevent the decision from affecting future court proceedings. “The judge can’t change his mind,” he said. “Once he enters his judgment, he loses jurisdiction in this case.”
