Law’s Kevin McMunigal discussed the complexities of charging Trump for Jan. 6 insurrection

Experts agree that Trump likely committed a crime on Jan. 6—charging him is a bit more complicated

Toledo Blade: Kevin McMunigal, professor of law, said he believes that there is a strong case against the former president on the issue of accomplice liability related to the Jan. 6 insurrection. “There’s a group that were clearly attempting to obstruct an official proceeding,” he said. “The only question, in the newspapers they’re saying ‘did Trump join it?’ Trump doesn’t have to have joined it. If he encouraged that attempt, he’s fully liable for it.”
