Law’s Juscelino Colares selected to serve on USMCA Binational Panel Roster of (US) Panelists

Juscelino Colares, the Schott-van den Eynden Professor of Business Law and a professor of political science, was selected by the Office of the United States Trade Representative (USTR) to serve on the 2021-22 United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement Binational Panel Roster of (US) Panelists.

The Office of the United States Trade Representative is an agency of the United States federal government responsible for developing and promoting American trade policy.

Additionally, Colares will remain on the NAFTA Roster through July 2022. Filing of disputes under NAFTA ends in July 2023, so he is expected to remain on both rosters for two more years.

This is the third Presidential administration—Obama, Trump and Biden—to select Colares for a North American dispute settlement roster.
