With telehealth in limbo, Ohio patients worry about access to some controlled medications

WCPO: With the end of the COVID-19 public health emergency status, many Ohioans prescribed controlled substances may have difficulty getting care. “Since the pandemic, we saw that entry into the market of telehealth startups,” said Juscelino Colares, the Schott-van den Eynden Professor of Law. Such presence of telehealth offerings provided easier access for patients.
