Crain’s Cleveland Business (subscription required): Juscelino Colares, the Schott-van den Eynden Professor of Law, weighed in on an ongoing dispute between Fifth Third Bank and the federal government’s Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. “If I were the agency, I would absolutely have the agency lawyers stop doing this because this can be very harmful for the agency if it gets perceived by the court as engaging in these heavy-handed, chicanery-type actions,” he said.
