Brennan Professor Emeritus of Law and adjunct professor of political science, weighed in on the expulsion of Justin Pearson from his seat in the Tennessee House of Representatives—and his possible reinstatement. “Even if you think these representatives did violate the rules, expulsion is extreme,” Entin said. “You have to wonder why the House went to the most extreme punishment for breach of the rules,” he said. “We’ve seen disruptions in state legislatures before.
