Supreme Court vindicates Judge Cannon’s slower pace in Trump’s Florida case
Washington Examiner: Jonathan Entin, the David L. Brennan Professor Emeritus of Law, noted that federal judge Aileen Cannon faced public criticism prior to Trump’s indictment in the classified documents case for appointing a special master to review evidence from the August 2022 Mar-a-Lago raid. “She’s just taking a pretty long time to decide stuff that, while it might not be completely routine, given the specifics of the case, she’s taking longer to decide the kinds of pretrial motions that are usually decided more quickly,” Entin said.
