Republicans bring forth a resolution to wipe out SEC’s climate disclosure rule

Brennan Professor Emeritus of Law, noted that the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) is facing more opponents to its controversial climate rules, after 32 Republican members of both chambers of Congress filed a resolution of disapproval under the Congressional Review Act, targeting the SEC’s rules. Entin said that, in the current Congress, margins are thin—which could be the reason Republicans decided to pursue the action.
