Guns and abortion: Contradictory decisions, or consistent?
The WashingtonPost: Jonathan Entin, the David L. Brennan Professor Emeritus of Law and adjunct professor of political science, discussed the two most polarizing topics in the nation right now—guns and abortion—and how the conservative Supreme Court took up both issues this session. “We can debate about the meaning of the Second Amendment, but the Second Amendment does explicitly talk about the right to keep and bear arms, whereas the right to abortion access is not explicitly in the Constitution,” he said. “If that’s where you are going to go, then maybe these decisions are not in such tension after all.”
