Law’s Jonathan Adler takes part in symposium on Romney’s Regulatory Plan

Jonathan Adler, the Johan Verheij Memorial Professor of Law and director of the Center for Business Law and Regulation, took part in a symposium hosted by the University of Pennsylvania Law School’s Penn Program on Regulation. The five-part series featured scholars of regulation and administrative law commenting on the regulatory policy section of Gov. Mitt Romney’s economic plan.

His section, “From Rhetoric to Action,” focused on Romney’s promise to “restrain the cost and scope of federal regulation if elected president,” the “’day one’ executive order that would direct federal agencies ‘to immediately initiate the elimination of Obama-era regulations that unduly burden the economy or job creation’ and to cap ‘annual increases in regulatory costs at zero dollars.’”
