Vice News: Jonathan Adler, the Johan Verheij Memorial Professor of Law, noted that the death of Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg means if her seat isn’t filled before Election Day, any fight that goes that far would be decided by a court that could deadlock four to four on a key decision. If Republicans ram through a replacement, giving them a six to three ideological edge, an unfavorable decision from the court may not be accepted by Democrats.
