Law’s Jonathan Adler discusses Sen. Chuck Schumer’s “sour grapes” in published essay

Jonathan Adler, the Johan Verheij Memorial Professor of Law, wrote an article analyzing Sen. Chuck Schumer’s attempt to persuade Senate Republicans from confirming Supreme Court nominee Amy Coney Barrett.

In his piece “Senator Schumer’s Sour Grapes,” published by the National Review magazine, Adler critiqued Schumer’s hypocrisy in arguing against Barrett’s confirmation and referenced his history of using obstructionist techniques against Senate Republicans.
