Newsy: Jonathan Adler, the Johan Verheij Memorial Professor of Law, said that if the leaked draft opinion overturning Roe v. Wade becomes law of the land, the effect would be that the matter of legalized abortion would be left up to the states. “As a general matter, most of our laws—criminal law, for example—are at the state level,” he said. “We would expect challenges to abortion laws left up to the state courts.”
