The Plain Dealer: Jessie Hill, the Judge Ben C. Green Professor of Law, discussed the gradual politicization of abortion laws in Ohio. “Our state got way more gerrymandered than it was before,” she said. “The Republicans had a supermajority, and it was a more extreme set of Republicans. This was the time of the Tea Party, if you recall. I think the General Assembly just moved to the right a lot. This was actually a national trend, too.”
