Gerhart Distinguished Research Scholar and associate director of the Center for Business Law, discussed the reasons why one of Sam Bankman-Fried’s co-defendants testified against the former CEO of failed cryptocurrency exchange FTX, in one of the biggest financial frauds in history. “It is likely that she will receive a reduced sentence,” Chaffee said, “but with the high-profile nature of the case, that is far from certain.”
