Could the ‘Art Modell Law’ keep Cleveland Browns stadium in Cleveland?
WEWS: Eric Chaffee, the Peter M. Gerhart Distinguished Research Scholar and associate director of the Center for Business Law, noted that even if the so-called “Art Modell Law”—designed to keep the Cleveland Browns in town—could easily be challenged in court, it could still be used as leverage. “There are major questions about its enforceability, especially in regard to whether it may be constitutional,” he said.
