More worries as Intel, once again, delays massive Ohio chipmaking plant
WEWS: Eric Chaffee, professor and the Peter M. Gerhart Distinguished Research Scholar at the School of Law, explained that Ohio’s contract with Intel lacked a completion clause, likely due to bargaining considerations. “Ohio made choices in regard to what they wanted to ensure,” Chaffee said, adding that while incentives exist, penalties for delays could have increased Intel’s urgency.
